FAQ

Questions that are easier to answer before the project starts.

Every construction scope is different, but the operating principles should be clear from the beginning.

01What kinds of projects does Miterline take on?

Miterline evaluates residential renovations, additions, framing-to-finish scopes, exterior work, project-management assignments, and selected commercial or GC subcontract opportunities. Fit depends on location, schedule, scope definition, and current capacity.

02Where do you work?

The primary market is Greater Bangor and Central Maine, with Holden as the home base. Selective projects elsewhere in Maine or outside the immediate radius may be considered when the scope and schedule justify it.

03Can Miterline coordinate specialty trades?

Yes. On multi-trade work, Miterline can coordinate qualified specialty trades and subcontractors as required by the project. Trade-specific licensing and permit requirements are addressed according to the actual scope and jurisdiction.

04How are payments structured?

Payment structure depends on project size and risk. Larger projects are typically tied to defined authorization, procurement, progress, substantial-completion, and closeout milestones rather than an undefined running balance.

05Do you provide free estimates?

Initial project-fit review can usually begin from a short description, location, timing, and photos. Larger or more complex scopes may require a walkthrough, plans, takeoff, or paid preconstruction effort before a reliable contract price can be issued.

06How are changes handled?

Material scope changes should be documented before the changed work proceeds. For larger managed projects, Miterline uses written change control so cost, schedule, and responsibility stay visible.
